Join the Dark Hedges International Film Festival at the QFT for a special, spooky Hallowe’en screening of one the most chilling and suspenseful horror films to come to the big screen in recent years.
Under quarantine during “the new normal”, a group of friends keep in touch with each other through weekly video chats. When one friend hires a medium to lead them in a séance, things quickly begin to go wrong and the group realises they may have unleashed something they did not bargain for.
Filmed under quarantine conditions, with the cast handling their own effects, makeup and lighting and the director pulling the strings from a remote location, Host is an intelligent and ambitious piece of genre filmmaking that turns the topical into the terrifying.
